Carmen Capella, Psy.D.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Capella is a distinguished clinical psychologist with over 28 years of experience. She operated her private practice in Isabela, Puerto Rico, for 22 years and has held academic positions as a professor at the Inter-American University of Aguadilla and San Germán, as well as the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla. Dr. Capella has authored numerous publications, conducted educational workshops, and provided crisis intervention services.
Dr. Capella worked at Med Options with Aging Care and Rehabilitation Centers in Central Florida and was the Clinical Director of Latino Leadership Behavioral Health and COMPASS Counseling Services. For her, “optimistic, realistic thoughts are a better medicine for our health than any pill, and disabling thoughts are the true physical and mental impediments.” She obtained her Master’s Degree in Psychology in 1995 and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with high honors in 1997 from the Caribbean Center for Postgraduate Studies. During her Clinical Internship at Consultores Educativos y Psicológicos Puerto Rico in 1998, she gained recognition for her outstanding academic work and commitment to psychology. Lena Rivera Anderson, Psy.D.

Dr. Lena Rivera Anderson, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Florida with extensive experience providing psychological care across medical, rehabilitation, and community settings. She earned her Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, following her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where she graduated with honors.

Dr. Anderson has worked in skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospital environments, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support patients through complex medical and emotional challenges. Her clinical background includes work in pain management, women’s health, geriatrics, and neuropsychological assessment, as well as years of experience providing therapy to individuals, families, and diverse patient populations across the lifespan.

At HCA JFK Hospital’s acute inpatient rehabilitation unit, Dr. Anderson provides psychological care to patients recovering from serious illness, injury, and neurological conditions. Natalie Lupiáñez-Merly, Psy.D.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Lupiáñez-Merly is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Florida. She earned her Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) from Albizu University. Following her studies, she completed her internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital within the Behavioral Health Hospital and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Miami Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, where she specialized in Health Psychology.
Dr. Lupiáñez-Merly has extensive training with adults and older adults dealing with chronic medical conditions, undergoing transplant surgeries, and living with HIV. She has provided assessment and psychotherapeutic treatment services, both individually and in groups, in English and Spanish to a diverse range of clinical populations.
Passionate about helping patients with chronic illnesses, Dr. Lupiáñez-Merly is dedicated to equipping them with tools to cope and lead fulfilling lives. Dr. Nathalie Buitrago is a Licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Texas. She obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in Health Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in Miami, FL. Dr. Buitrago completed a 1-year internship at Valley Coastal Blend VA and a 1-year post-doctoral fellowship with Ben Taub Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The majority of her training has taken place within a medical setting, with a particular emphasis on behavioral medicine and neuropsychological testing. Dr. Buitrago has provided assessment and psychotherapeutic treatment services in English and Spanish to diverse clinical populations across the lifespan. Dr. Ruiz Ramirez has worked with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams throughout her career, providing psychotherapy, psychological and psychometric evaluations, crisis intervention, clinical coordination, and community-based behavioral health services.
Dr. Ruiz Ramirez’s clinical background includes work in hospital and mental health settings, domestic violence intervention programs, university counseling services, and graduate-level teaching and supervision. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and brings strong experience in communication, leadership, referral coordination, and patient-centered care.

Justin Koenitzer, Psy.D.

Dr. Justin Koenitzer is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized expertise in neuropsychology and behavioral medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University, his Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, and his Doctor of Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, where he focused on Neuropsychology and Behavioral Medicine. He completed his APA-accredited internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School, followed by a postdoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology and additional advanced training in Primary Care Behavioral Health.

Throughout his career, Dr. Koenitzer has worked in a variety of integrated healthcare settings, including the Orlando VA Medical Center, federally qualified health centers, private neuropsychology practices, and comprehensive medical psychology programs. His clinical experience includes neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, integrated primary care, behavioral medicine, and psychotherapy for adults with neurological, medical, and psychological conditions. He has also served as a clinical supervisor, educator, researcher, and contributor to advances in neuropsychological assessment and behavioral health integration.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from William Paterson University and her Master of Science and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of New Mexico, specializing in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience and a concentration in Clinical Neuropsychology. She completed her predoctoral internship at Wilford Hall Medical Center and postdoctoral residency at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

Dr. Stibick began her career as an active-duty psychologist and Captain in the United States Air Force, providing clinical and neuropsychological assessment, health psychology services, crisis intervention, and leadership of multidisciplinary behavioral health programs. She subsequently held clinical and leadership positions across several hospital systems and spent nearly six years at BayCare St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, providing psychological evaluations and consultation across emergency, medical, and psychiatric settings.
