Dr. Nathan serves as Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Director of Strive Rehabilitation Partners, where he provides clinical leadership and helps guide the organization’s relationships with hospitals, clinicians, and community partners. In this role, he focuses on maintaining high standards of psychological care across Strive’s hospital-based programs while supporting the professional development of the clinicians who deliver those services. Dr. Nathan works closely with leadership and clinical staff to ensure that Strive’s work remains grounded in sound clinical judgment, ethical practice, and strong collaboration with the medical teams and rehabilitation programs the organization serves.
Dr. Nathan has practiced clinical psychology in Houston for nearly four decades. After earning his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University and completing an APA-accredited internship at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Houston, he established a private practice focused on medical and rehabilitation psychology, working with individuals and families experiencing disability, chronic pain, anxiety, and mood disorders. Over the course of his career, he has also developed and led behavioral health programs serving rehabilitation hospitals and outpatient clinics across Texas.
Through his work at Strive, Dr. Nathan continues to apply that experience by helping shape the organization’s clinical direction, strengthening hospital partnerships, and ensuring that patients receive thoughtful, high-quality psychological care as part of their rehabilitation and recovery.
Dr. West serves as Director of Clinical Service and Training for Strive Rehabilitation Partners, where she helps ensure that the organization’s clinical services are delivered with consistency, professionalism, and adherence to best practices. In this role, she focuses on training new clinicians, guiding documentation standards, and supporting clinicians in maintaining strong patient engagement and high-quality clinical care across Strive’s hospital partnerships. Dr. West works closely with clinical staff to help translate sound psychological principles into everyday clinical practice, providing mentorship and guidance on patient communication, clinical documentation, and effective collaboration within multidisciplinary medical teams. Her work helps ensure that Strive’s clinicians are well prepared to deliver thoughtful, evidence-based care while meeting the professional and regulatory expectations of the hospitals and rehabilitation programs the organization serves.
Dr. West earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a health proficiency from the California School of Professional Psychology and completed her clinical psychology internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston. She has spent much of her career working in medical and rehabilitation settings, including program leadership roles within hospital-based psychology services and long-standing collaboration with rehabilitation hospitals in the Houston area. Through her leadership at Strive, Dr. West helps cultivate a culture of clinical excellence, ensuring that both new and experienced clinicians have the guidance and structure they need to provide effective, patient-centered psychological care.
Eric Kachin serves as Chief Operating Officer of Strive Rehabilitation Partners, where he oversees the operational side of the organization so that clinicians can focus on patient care. His work includes managing billing, credentialing, compliance, technology systems, human resources, and financial operations across the company’s hospital partnerships. Although Eric’s role is largely behind the scenes, it touches nearly every part of the patient and provider experience. He focuses on building policies and procedures that are clear, reliable, and accountable. His goal is simple: create an environment where the administrative side of healthcare runs smoothly so that clinicians can spend their time helping patients.
Before joining Strive, Eric spent much of his career working in healthcare finance and operations, including leadership roles at R1 RCM and Northwestern Medicine. In those roles he helped design financial systems, improve operational reporting, and support complex healthcare organizations as they grew and adapted. Eric holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science with cum laude honors in Computer Science from Michigan Technological University; he is also a CFA Charterholder.
Cynthia Gonzales is an experienced healthcare operations leader based in Houston, Texas, with over 25 years of experience in medical billing, compliance, and revenue cycle management across hospital, infusion, and outpatient settings. She has built her career through progressive leadership roles in billing operations and practice management, developing deep expertise in HIPAA compliance, coding systems, and complex reimbursement processes. Throughout her career, Cynthia has led large-scale revenue cycle functions, overseeing billing, collections, authorization, and patient accounts while implementing systems that improve financial performance and operational efficiency. She has extensive experience supporting both hospital and clinic environments, with a particular focus on infusion services, specialty therapies, and medically complex patient populations. Prior to her current role, she served in multiple director and practice management positions where she was responsible for staff development, compliance oversight, and the design of scalable administrative infrastructure. At Strive Rehabilitation Partners, Cynthia serves as Office Manager, where she supervises all revenue cycle operations, including reception, authorization, billing, and patient accounts, and plays a central role in maintaining compliant, efficient systems that support high-quality patient care.
Dr. Nathalie Buitrago is a Licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Texas. She obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in Health Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in Miami, FL. Dr. Buitrago completed a 1-year internship at Valley Coastal Blend VA and a 1-year post-doctoral fellowship with Ben Taub Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The majority of her training has taken place within a medical setting, with a particular emphasis on behavioral medicine and neuropsychological testing. Dr. Buitrago has provided assessment and psychotherapeutic treatment services in English and Spanish to diverse clinical populations across the lifespan. Dr. Buitrago’s psychotherapeutic strengths align with evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
